Adopt-a-Highway
The Adopt-a-Highway Program allows organizations to assist in maintaining cleanliness along many of the Commonwealth’s 41,000 miles of highway. Adoptees are responsible for annual litter removal and cleanup. Monroe Energy was pleased to adopt over a one-mile stretch along Post Road in Trainer and Marcus Hook Boroughs. Under the adoption, Monroe team members undertake routine cleanups along the adopted stretch of Post Road throughout the year.
Keep Pennsylvania Beautiful Land Stewardship
The Land Stewardship Program operates similar to that of Adopt-a-Highway, wherein with agreement from the owners/maintainers of property such as roads, waterways, trails, and city blocks, organizations can adopt these areas under the commitment to clean up litter and trash. Monroe Energy was thrilled to partner with the Borough of Marcus Hook in adopting Market Square Memorial Park. This beautiful park rests along the banks of the Delaware River, affording visitors walking paths with scenic views of the river. Monroe Energy is proud to participate in this important program.
